The TPS3700 is a window comparator for over- and undervoltage detection. It operates over a 1.8 V to 18 V range, and has two high-accuracy comparators with an internal 400 mV reference, as well as two open-drain outputs for over- and undervoltage detection. In our project, we used the DDC package (SOT23-6) for ease of soldering. It was used as our voltage supervisor.

We used the TPS3700 because of its simplicity and ease of design. It’s primary purpose was determining whether or not mains DC power was present in our Rev2 design. It was integral in the design of an intelligent charger.
